Women's Lacrosse: Manning-Ingala, Ricker earn final GNAC weekly honors of regular season

WINTHROP, Mass. - Following a historic week, Norwich University women's lacrosse junior goalkeeper Bailey Manning-Ingala (West Hartford, Conn.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season, while sophomore Breanna Ricker (Laconia, N.H.) earned a spot on the GNAC Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Manning-Ingala becomes the first Cadet to claim multiple GNAC weekly awards in the same season since Katie Bishop-Manning in 2022.  She previously earned GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week honors back in mid-March.  Her recognition comes after another dominant stretch of performances, helping Norwich finish the regular season strong and power into the GNAC Semifinals for the first time since 2014.

Across games against Emmanuel College and Dean College, Manning-Ingala totaled 20 saves and posted a .500 save percentage over 108:38 minutes.  She delivered her best performance when it mattered most, making nine saves and boasting a 64.3% save rate during Norwich's commanding 18-6 GNAC Quarterfinal win over Dean.

Manning-Ingala's steady play in the crease helped the Cadets set a new program record for wins in a single season (15), while she personally secured her 11th victory of the year.

Ricker, meanwhile, continued to showcase her two-way impact during the pivotal week.  The sophomore tallied five goals and two assists across the two contests, while also racking up eight ground balls, six caused turnovers, and 11 draw controls.

She played a major role in Norwich's quarterfinal triumph over Dean, recording five points (three goals, two assists) and forcing three turnovers to help the Cadets dominate possession and transition opportunities.

Manning-Ingala and Ricker's efforts have helped Norwich string together one of the most successful seasons in program history, as the Cadets prepare for a highly anticipated GNAC Semifinal match-up.

The Cadets return to action on Wednesday, Apr. 30, traveling to face top-seeded JWU (Providence) in the GNAC Semifinals.  Opening draw is set for 5:00 p.m. in Providence, R.I.
