ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Norwich University men's swimming & diving team made waves at the 2025 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Swimming & Diving Championship, delivering record-breaking performances at Navy's Lejeune Hall from Friday, Feb. 28 through Sunday, Mar. 2.
Select members of the Cadets' squad showcased their talents against top competition from Div. I, II, and III institutions, shattering three program records in the process and closing out the 2024-25 season on a historic high note.
Norwich compiled 73 points in a highly competitive field of 22 programs, finishing ahead of teams such as George Washington University, American University, and Bryant University. Host Navy dominated the meet with 850 points, securing the title well ahead of second-place Loyola University (Md.), which posted 461.5 points, and third-place Columbia University, which finished with 443 points.

Will Thompson (Downingtown, Pa.), marking the third consecutive year that Norwich has sent swimmers to the prestigious ECAC Championships.
Norwich's record-breaking performances began Saturday in the 200-yard medley relay, where Riendeau, Thompson, and the Adlianitski brothers first set a new program mark with a 1:34.16 effort in preliminaries. They returned in the finals to shatter their own record, touching the wall in 1:33.93.
The Cadets saved their best for last, rewriting the record books in the final event of the championship in the 400-yard freestyle relay.Â
Martin Adlianitski set a new program record in the 100-yard freestyle in his leg with a blistering 46.11 split, while the relay squad of the Adlianitski brothers, Bylow, and Thompson combined for a historic 3:08.63, the fastest time in Norwich history.
Tyler Kaminski from Navy claimed Men's Swimmer of the Meet honors, while Navy's Bill Roberts was named the Men's Coach of the Meet.
