Men's Swimming & Diving: Four student-athletes earn CSC Academic All-District honors

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Four members of the Norwich University men's swimming & diving team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing their outstanding achievements in both academics and athletics.  Andrew Clark (Acworth, Ga.), Gregory DeMeyer (Collierville, Tenn.), Joshua Kelly (Stowe, Vt.), and Braeden Scott (Keene, N.H.) were all honored, as announced by CSC (formerly CoSIDA) on Tuesday afternoon.

Clark, a mechanical engineering major with a 3.71 cumulative GPA, was a key contributor in Norwich's dominant performance at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships.  He captured first place in the 200-yard butterfly, while also earning podium finishes in the 500-yard and 1000-yard freestyle events.  His success in distance and butterfly races helped lead the Cadets to their third consecutive conference title.

DeMeyer, a political science major with a 3.67 cumulative GPA, played a crucial role in Norwich's championship success, excelling across multiple events.  His consistent performances in freestyle and individual medley events were instrumental in Norwich securing another dominant GNAC victory.

Kelly, an architectural studies major with a 3.59 cumulative GPA, excelled in butterfly and backstroke events, making key contributions to Norwich's championship campaign.  He earned an All-Conference nod in the 50-yard butterfly during the GNAC Championship meet.

Scott, a mechanical engineering major with a 3.58, proved to be a crucial asset in freestyle and individual medley events, securing valuable points throughout the GNAC Championships.  An All-Conference honoree, Scott's contributions played a vital role in Norwich's championship-clinching performance.

To qualify for CSC Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must be a sophomore or older, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and compete in at least five competitions or finish top-eight at a conference meet.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately honors student-athletes across NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
