NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University women's cross-country team secured a runner-up finish on its home course Friday afternoon, placing second out of six teams at the third annual Norwich Cadet Invitational, accumulating 43 points, only behind Colby-Sawyer and narrowly holding off third-place Emmanuel.
Sophomore
Delaney Whitmarsh (North Yarmouth, Maine) set the tone with a fifth-place time of 25:31.90, and freshman
Kaitlyn Moore (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) was right behind her in sixth (25:34.40), pacing five Cadets finishing in the top 15, and seven in the top 20.

The Cadets will compete in their penultimate race before hosting the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships, which will take place at the Jame Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State on October 11 at 10:30 a.m.
