NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University women's cross-country team secured a runner-up finish on its home course Friday afternoon, placing second out of six teams at the third annual Norwich Cadet Invitational, accumulating 43 points, only behind Colby-Sawyer and narrowly holding off third-place Emmanuel.

Sophomore Delaney Whitmarsh (North Yarmouth, Maine) set the tone with a fifth-place time of 25:31.90, and freshman Kaitlyn Moore (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) was right behind her in sixth (25:34.40), pacing five Cadets finishing in the top 15, and seven in the top 20.
