WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced their end-of-season awards Wednesday afternoon, which include four members of the Norwich men's soccer team.
For the third consecutive year, senior defender
Kam Jorgenson (Titusville, Fla.) earned a place on the First Team. Jorgenson was the lynchpin of a Cadet defense that held opponents to 1.24 goals per game, while also contributing on the offensive side of the ball with three goals and two assists. Jorgenson was also named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Also recognized for his defensive prowess wasÂ
Cullen Swett (Williston, Vt.), who earned Second Team recognition for the second-straight season. Swett was tied for the team-high in game-winning goals with first-year midfielder
Ben Rubinstein (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), who also received Second Team honors. Rubinstein was the spark of the Norwich offense, leading the team in goals with six. Rounding out the All-Conference honors was senior midfielder
Hunter Lortie (Manchester, N.H.), earning third team plaudits for the second-straight year for his presence in the defensive midfield.  Â
Norwich closed out their first season under Head Coach Rob Emmett with yet another berth in the GNAC Tournament.
