NORTHFIELD, Vt.- In their final home match of the fall season, the Norwich Men's Rugby team took to the turf of Sabine Field Saturday evening against Boston University.
Within the first two minutes, the Cadets found the try zone courtesy of
Aidan McCabe and Will Moulton punching in pick and go's.
Kris Wayton converted one of the first two, and would natch six more throughout the match.
As the first period wore on, seven different Norwich players would get a try. Mouton added a second to tie a game high with
Jake Peterson and Wayton, with
Sonny Mammaro,
Marius Edwards and Arnaud Germain also reaching the scoresheet to give the Cadets a 66-point lead at the half.
The Terriers broke the shutout early in the second with an unconverted try, before the Cadets added two more scores from Conner Willet and
Karl Kent to push the final margin to 78-5.
After a bye week, the maroon and goal will hit the road to take on UMass-Lowell at 11 AM on Oct. 26.
