NORTHFIELD, Vt.- The Norwich Men's Soccer team returned home Saturday afternoon to continue Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action when they took on Albertus Magnus after celebrating senior day.
Early on, the Cadets held the early edge, with
Kyle Dunn (Las Vegas, Nev.) generating several golden opportunities. Both sides traded opportunities throughout the first half, but ultimately it was a defensive struggle that was scoreless after the first 45.
To open the second half, the Falcons dictated the terms and would break the ice in the 52
nd minute. Albertus looked to expand their lead but were turned away repeatedly. In the 75
th minute, Norwich had a golden opportunity with a free kick just outside the box, followed immediately by a corner, but neither opportunity connected leading to the score remaining at the final buzzer.
It will be a quick turnaround for Norwich who will host Lasell Tuesday Oct. 15 at 7 PM next. Â
