KEENE, N.H. - The Cadets, and
Harrison Giambattista, continue their hot streak after claiming second place at the Keene Invitational. Keene Country Club. located in Keene, New Hampshire, was the host site for the Keene Invitational.
The home team benefited from the experience of playing on their home course to just barely nudge out Norwich by only two strokes. The Cadets, who shot 330 on the day, tied with both NEC and WNEU in the ultra competitive invitational. In fact, the top five squads were only separated by a total of six strokes.
Giambattista, the reigning GNAC Rookie of the Week, personally took second as well, shooting 78 on the day. Sean Bonneau, of Keene State, led the invitational and just barely held off Giambattista, finishing with a 76 to top the field.
Thomas Riddick continued an excellent season by shooting 80 and personally tied for the 7th best score of the invitational. Placing just barely outside the top 10,
Cooper Bertrand shot 83 on the day to tie at 11th.
Tyler Orton came finished with an 89 while
Dylan Hartanto rounded out the day with a 92.
The Cadets travel to the Lou Jarvis Invitational on Saturday September 30th before the GNAC Championships on October 9th and 10th.
