RANDOLPH, Vt. - Norwich University Men's Golf took home second place at the Norwich Invitational. Montague Golf Club (Randolph, Vt.) was the host course for the invitational . It took a school record 298 for New England College (NEC) to defeat the Maroon Team from Norwich University who was only 8 shots off the lead.
Norwich entered two different teams into the tournament and saw several excellent individual performances. The Maroon Team consisted of
Harrison Giambattista,
Matt Printup,
Thomas Riddick,
Cooper Bertrand, and
David Hubacher.
Dylan Hartanto,
Alex Lewis,
Jackson Clayton,
Clark Kerner, and
Matt Harvey comprised the Grey Team for Norwich. "Today was a great day to have all our players play in a competitive tournament," stated Coach Clarke. In fact, it was the second invitational the team has played in so far over the long weekend and they will be traveling to the aforementioned NEC on Sunday, September 3.

Alex Lewis (75)," explained Coach Clarke. "We are hoping to build off this experience as we begin our season." The two Norwich squads combined to have four of the best six scores on the day. The Grey Team was led by Hartanto who was only one stroke behind MCLA's Gover who shot an invitational best 70. Giambattista, leading the Maroon Team on the day, was closely behind and only two shots off the lead. Printup and Lewis tied for the sixth best individual scores.
