VERO BEACH, Fla. – In their second doubleheader in the last two days, the Norwich University Baseball team dropped both ends of their doubleheader with Gettysburg College Sunday afternoon at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex.
The Bullets jumped out to an early lead and never looked back after plating two runs in the top of the first. The Cadets would draw within one on a
Ryan Miller (Westhampton, N.Y.) squeeze bunt. However, Gettysburg would pull further ahead with a five run sixth and come away with the 8-2 victory.
In the second tilt, the Bullets jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings. Norwich would get on the board in the third on an RBI single by
Geffen Franus (Leesburgh, Va.) who would drive in a second run in the fifth and finish the day going three for four at the plate. Miller was also prominent in this one going two for four.
On deck for the Cadets is a doubleheader with Monmouth College at 11 AM on March 7 in Fort Pierce, Fla.
