BOSTON, Mass.- The Norwich Men's Rugby team completed an undefeated regular season campaign with a 41-12 drubbing of Boston University over the weekend.
Â
The game started as a struggle, as the Cadets held the upper hand early, but the Terriers held the fort. Norwich would eventually break through with an unconverted try by
Blake Wolliston. The offensive wave continued shortly after with two consecutive
Will Moulton tries within ten minutes. B.U. would reach the scoreboard with an unconverted try, but a
Hunter Puleo score would make the score 17-5 in favor of Norwich at the half. Â
Â
The second half began the same way the first half did, with Norwich struggling to break through the Terrier defense. Eventually, Moulton tallied his third try of the match. Shortly after,
Logan Perry would also find the scoresheet and a conversion by
Dumisani Janda. With 20 minutes remaining, Moulton would get his fourth score. The Terriers would score once more before the final whistle. Â
Â
With another dominant season, the Cadets will now face the University of Maine in the New England Wide Collegiate Rugby Conference (NEWCRC) Championship at Springfield College on Nov 4 at 4 PM.
