NORTHFIELD, Vt.- The Norwich University Women's Ice Hockey team opened up New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) play with a resounding 10-0 shutout of UMass Boston Saturday afternoon at Kreitzberg Arena.
The Cadets barrage started early and often breaking the ice on a breakaway goal by freshman
Olivia Boyer (Saint Paul, Minn.) for her second of the season. Boyer finished with two goals and an assist scoring again early in the second.
The Norwich powerplay was also electric converting three times on eight opportunities with the goals coming from junior
Ally LaGue (Barre, Vt.), Nikki LaGue (Barre, Vt.) and
Ann-Fredrique Guay (St-Lambert-de-Lauzon, Que.). Guay also had two assists on the day while
Mikah Baptiste (Ottawa, On.) also tallied two goals and an assist.
The Cadets will look to continue their torrid start when they visit Castleton Friday Nov, 11. Start time is scheduled for 6 PM.
