PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Norwich University Men's Soccer team suffered a crushing 1-0 defeat at the hands of Johnson & Wales Saturday afternoon at the Scott's Miracle Gro Athletic Complex. The loss snaps their six game conference win streak and is their first in GNAC play this season.

The Wildcats broke the scoreless affair in the 83^rd minute when senior Austin Sweeney (Nutley, N.J) broke in alone on senior goalkeeper Robert Wagonseller (Poway, Calif.) and beat him despite Wagonseller getting a piece of the ball.

Leading the way for the Cadets offensively were senior Joseph Thongsythavong (Salem, Mass) and sophomore Mamadi Jiana (Chicopee, Mass) who accounted for four shots apiece while senior Amerle Nemeye (Burlington, Vt.)  had three shots to his name.

Up next for the Cadets is a non-conference showdown with the Coast Guard Bears Monday October 10^th at 3 PM.
