NORTHFIELD, Vt.- The Norwich University Men's Soccer team's match against the Coast Guard Bears ended in a scoreless tie at Sabine Field Monday afternoon.

The first half was a struggle for both sides as shots were 6-5 (3-2 on goal) in favor of the Cadets. The Bears woke up in the second half outshooting Norwich 9-2 (3-0 on goal) and goalkeeper
Robert Wagonseller (Poway, Calif.) stood tall throughout saving all six shots on goal.
Offensively, the Cadets were led by senior
Amerle Nemeye (Burlington, Vt.) who had both shots on goal including a penalty kick in the 19
th minute. Sophomore
Mamadi Jiana (Chicopee, Mass.) and senior
Matteo Iagrossi (Schenectady, N.Y.) also contributed two shots each.
Norwich will look to get back on the winning track Saturday night when they travel to West Hartford, Conn to take on the St. Joseph Blue Jays at 6 PM in GNAC action.
