WEST HARTFORD, CONN- The Norwich University Men's Soccer team got back on the winning track with a 5-2 victory over St. Joseph (Conn.) Saturday night at USJ Soccer Field.
Senior
Joseph Thongsythavong (Salem, Mass.) struck early and often. Breaking the ice in the 8
th minute, then again in the 30
th minute and one more for good measure in the 89
th minute for a hat trick. This puts Thongsythavong at 50 goals in his Norwich career.
Freshman
Oleksandr Kharchuk (Ukraine) found the scoresheet for the first time in his collegiate career in the 34
th minute in addition to
Kam Jorgenson (Titusville, Fla.) also contributing in the 50
th minute and three assists from
Amerle Nemeye (Burlington, Vt.). In goal
Robert Wagonseller (Poway, Calif.) stood tall making eight saves on ten shots.
The Cadets return to action Wednesday afternoon where they will take on Colby-Sawyer at Sabine Field. Kickoff is set for 4 PM.
