NORTHFIELD, Vt- The Norwich University Women's Soccer team was defeated by Albertus Magnus in their final home game of the season 4-1 Sunday afternoon at Sabine Field.
The Falcons got the scoring started early when grad student
Haley Montesanto (East Haven, Conn.) found the back of the net just under six minutes in. Soon after grad student
Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) scored two consecutive goals to give Albertus Magnus a 3-0 lead halfway through the first half.
The Cadets got on the board just before the halftime buzzer when freshman
Bella Roy (Weare, N.H.) scored her third of the season. Roy along with seniors
Jillian Patria (Rindge, N.H.) and
Isabel Doherty (Quincy, Mass) registered shots on goal in the match. Doherty and Patria celebrated the final home game of their collegiate career along with
Tara Grogan (Statesville, N.C.), Katie Connolly (Ashford, Conn.) and
Eduarda Da Silva (Cos Cob, Conn.).
The Cadets will round out their season Wednesday night when they visit Anna Maria at 7 PM.
