Men's Soccer: Colby-Sawyer stuns Norwich, 1-0

Box Score

NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team dealt Norwich a crushing blow on a rainy, windy day in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Wednesday.

Colby-Sawyer (5-6-2, 5-3-2 GNAC) scored with 12:01 left in regulation on a free kick from 18 yards out by Noah Camelo for the game's only goal with just 10 players on the field after the Chargers had a player sent off in the 57th minute with a red card.

Norwich (9-2-4, 6-2-2 GNAC) outshot Colby-Sawyer 10-6 in the game, but couldn't solve CSC keeper Lucas Boetsch, who made four saves in the win. Brendan Germano (Monroe Township, N.J.) made four saves in the loss for the Cadets.

Norwich dropped to third place with the loss as Johnson & Wales jumped the Cadets in the standings after they've gone winless in three straight.

The Cadets close out the GNAC regular season on Saturday when they host Suffolk at 1 p.m. on Senior Day.
