Box Score POULTNEY, Vt.—Sophomore Kelsey Mancini (Lynnfield, Mass.) totaled a team-high 10 kills to lead the Norwich University volleyball team to a 3-0 non-conference win against Green Mountain College on Thursday evening. With the win, the Cadets improve to 3-2 on the season, while the loss drops the Eagles to 1-6 overall.
The Cadets posted game scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 25-18.
In addition to Mancini, the Cadets were led offensively by Corinne Baita (Rochester, N.H.) and Alex Palmer (South Windsor, Conn.), who both added seven kills apiece. Gabrielle Miller (Grove City, Ohio) dished out a match-high 23 assists, while Palmer led the team in digs with nine.
Seven different members of the Green Mountain squad totaled a team-high three kills. Kara Egan recorded a match-high 10 digs for the Eagles, while Cynthia Cordova and Megan Roy both added eight kills. Jennifer Seredejko led the Eagles with 13 assists.
The Cadets recorded a .162 attack percentage on the evening while holding the Eagles to a negative attack percentage.
Norwich returns to action this weekend for the first home action of the season. The Cadets will face Albertus Magnus in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. The Cadets will also face Newbury College at 4:00 p.m.
