NORTHFIELD, vt. - Fueled by 13 service aces and a .200 team attack percentage, Norwich University rolled past in-state foe Green Mountain 25-11, 25-11, 25-8 Oct. 11.

Coach Amanda Cuiffo's squad was led by the play of senior middle hitter Ivana Batur (Zagreb, Croatia). Batur hammered 10 kills and compiled one solo and two block assists during the evening. Freshman outside hitter Kelsey Mancini (Lynnfield, Mass.) added six kills and three services, while fellow senior middle hitter April Byllaardt (Stormville, N.Y.) ended with five service aces.

NU, hitting the 10-win mark for the fifth time in six years, rolled out to big leads in each game. They lead 16-4 in the opener, 18-8 in the second game and 15-5 in game three. GMC dropped to 5-11 with the loss.

The Maroon and Gold return to Great Northeast Athletic Conference play with a tri-match at Johnson and Wales Saturday, Oct. 15. They face the host Wildcats and Mount Ida at 12 and 2 p.m.

NOTES - Batur was at-or-above 10 kills for the third time in five matches. She's been at-or-above a .300 attack percentage in each case as well. ...
