Box Score WHITINGHAM, Vt. – The Norwich University
volleyball team swept the Green Mountain College Eagles in 3-0
fashion on Thursday night by set scores of 25-17, 25-13, and
25-12.
The Cadets were no match to the Eagles, as senior Thea Evans led
Norwich in battle with 12 kills and eight digs. Classmate
Molly Rice
put up high numbers with her 24 assists, eight digs, and three
service aces, as senior Jessica
Bielski contributed to the win with seven digs and
three services aces, denying the Eagles of reaching high points in
Cadet territory. Sophomore MaryRose Meany made an impact on the
court with six kills and four blocks.
The Cadets return to Andrews Hall on the campus of Norwich
University for a six-game home-stand, challenging Albertus Magnus
and Rivier College on Saturday. Their first game will tip off at
noon, following by a 4 p.m. match against Rivier. Stay tuned for a
full weekend of Cadets volleyball action, as they host
SUNY-Maritime at 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
