NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich volleyball team remained unbeaten on the season, posting a 3-1 victory over Green Mountain on Saturday afternoon at Andrews Hall. The Cadets needed four games to earn a victory for the first time all season, winning by scores of 30-15, 30-7, 27-30 and 30-25.

Norwich (4-0) was led by Alicia Chamness, who posted a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs. Ami Fuller and Sondra Connelly each recorded eight kills apiece.

Kelsey Breitfeld and Lauren Aikens each notched seven digs each, while Aikens also added a team-high six service aces.

Keira Holmes led Norwich in assists, dishing out 24 helpers, while Molly Rice contributed 10 assists.

The Norwich volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 11, when the Cadets travel to Lyndon, Vt., for a 7 p.m. match versus Lyndon State.
