Jon Guiffre

Jon Guiffre enters his 17th season as an assistant coach for the women's hockey team in 2024-25.

Last season, Guiffre aided the Cadets to an NEHC regular season championship, going 15-2-1 in conference play en route to earning the top seed in the NEHC playoffs.  Livia Brooks '27 became the first NEHC Player and Rookie of the Year in program history, leading a list of eight All-Conference honorees.  Brooks was also an AHCA All-American and a finalist for the Laura Hurd Award for Division III National Player of the Year.

Guiffre also enters his 30th consecutive season coaching women's hockey at almost every level.  Previously, Guiffre was the head coach, assistant coach at several prep schools, and assistant coach at several college programs, including a three-year stint at Brown University.  While at Brown, he helped guide the bears to an ECAC Championship and a trip to the DI National Championship Game in 2002.

Before joining the Cadets, Guiffre led the Taft School (Watertown, CT) girls' hockey program to three consecutive winning seasons, berths in the Pasty Odden Tournament Championship game three years in a row, including a victory in 2005, and helped guide almost all of the players on to successful college careers at the Div. I and Div. III levels.

Guiffre's work with the Cadets focuses on player skill development as well as tactical analysis in practice and in games. He brings perspectives from almost every level of women’s hockey to the development of the players and the program as a whole.

Guiffre resides in Roxbury, Vt. with his wife Cathy and his son Caden.  He is the Owner of Allied Building Contractors LLC, a general contracting company in Central Vermont.
