Thomas Roberge enters his fifth season as the Norwich women's basketball assistant coach in 2022-23. Roberge returned to the Cadet sidelines after a 16-year absence from when he served as the Norwich men’s basketball assistant coach.

robergePrior to helping coach the Norwich men, Roberge coached as a volunteer assistant with the Mount Mansfield boy’s varsity team in Jericho, VT, then went and coached JV girl’s basketball at Spaulding High school in Barre, VT. After that Roberge coached the boy’s JV basketball team at Spaulding for four years.

Following coaching the Norwich men’s team in 2002, Roberge coached the Spaulding girls’ basketball team. He helped guide the Lady Tide to three final four appearances at the University of Vermont’s Patrick Gym and the school’s only girls’ basketball state championship in 2009. Roberge also established the Lady Tide Skills Camp, which helped produce some key contributors to the Norwich Cadets women’s team, including Caitlin Bailey, Kristen Brown and Paige McNally.

In addition, Roberge was a volunteer assistant basketball coach for the Vermont Frost Heaves of the American Basketball Association (ABA) under head coach Will Voigt from 2006-2008. The Frost Heaves were the ABA Champions in the 2006–07 and the 2007–2008 seasons.

Roberge has coached four years of boys AAU basketball in Vermont and currently coaches the Vermont Sting in central Vermont. His AAU teams have won tournaments in Vermont and at Zero Gravity tournaments. His current team has placed 3rd, 1st, and 2nd in the last three Vermont AAU state championships.

Roberge and his wife Carolyn live in Middlesex, Vermont with their three children: Hayden, Madison, and Yvonne.
