Biography

2014: Started six games on the mound posting a 3.12 ERA over 34.2 innings pitched ... struck out 21 batters and posted a 1-3 record ... batted .179 at the plate with one double and two RBIs.

2013: Finished fourth on team in hitting at .279...had eight RBI and scored five runs...also threw 7.2 innings on the mound and recorded a save vs. Northwestern on 3/14.

2012: Played in 31 games as a freshman...had an on-base percentage of .354...had one home run and six rbis...also pitched 23.1 innings with 12 strikeouts.

BEFORE NORWICH: Played three years of varsity baseball at Concord High School ... also lettered with the soccer team ... named a New Hampshire Division I Scholar-Athlete winner and received the Coaches Award ... played fall baseball as a junior and senior in the Granite State Showcase wooden bat league ... member of the Post 21 Legion team ... was a member of the Granite State Big Blue Senior Babe Ruth team ... club was New England runner-up as a sophomore and N.H. state champion in summer of junior year ... earn played for the Express and Wildcat soccer clubs for one year each.

PERSONAL: Son of Terry and Lorijo Place ... has one brother, Ryan ... NHIAA scholar-athlete in high school ... majoring in Architecture.
