Matt Roche

Matt Roche enters his second season at the helm of the Norwich University men's tennis program in 2020.

Roche guided the Cadets to an 8-12 record in his inaugural season in 2019. Roche was instrumental in the men's tennis team completing its first full 20-game slate in program history as well as taking the team on its first-ever spring break trip to Pennsylvania and Ohio. 

Roche comes to Norwich with over 10 years of experience as a tennis instructor and coach, including stops as an assistant coach with Thomas More and the head club tennis coach at Lynn University in Florida. 

He served as the head tennis pro at Our Court Tennis Club in White River Junction for three years. 

Roche is a 2013 graduate of Notre Dame College (Ohio) where he was the No. 1 singles player for the Falcons during his career. He was an Ohio State Championship qualifier and climbed as high as the No. 18-ranked player in Ohio during his senior year. 

Roche is also a 2016 graduate of the Vermont Law School with his Juris Doctor degree. He also serves as the Norwich University Title IX Coordinator.
