2013: Started all 17 games for the Cadets as a senior...scored four goals and added one assist for five points...ranked in the top-5 in all of Division III in face-off winning percentage and won 65.6 percent of the 275 face-offs he took on the season...won a season-high 16 face-offs in the Cadets' 9-6 regular season win against Mount Ida (4/6)...led the team in ground balls with 109...scooped up 12 ground balls on two different occasions, against Lasell (4/2) and again against Castleton (4/29)...was named a GNAC All-Conference First Team selection...also named a USILA Scholar All-American.
2012: Started all 16 games in which he appeared in his junior season...scored three goals and added an assist for four points...scored twice against Anna Maria (4/18)...also scored a goal against Daniel Webster (3/31)...led the team in ground balls with 54...also added three caused turnovers on the season...was the primary face-off specialist for the Cadets and won 143 out of 206 attempts for a .694 winning percentage.
2011: Started all 13 games in which he appeared as a sophomore...scored three goals and added for three assists to total six points...recorded one goal in a man-down situation...finished second on the squad in ground balls with 65...also caused three turnovers on the season...served as the primary face-off specialist for the team and won 145 of 196 attempts for a .740 win percentage.
2010: Played in 12 games wearing the maroon and gold...collected 28 ground balls and dished out one assist.
Before Norwich: Played four years of football and two years of lacrosse and baseball at Branford High School…was a Dean’s List student.
Personal: Son of Greg and Mary Fortezzo…has two older brothers, Luke and Josh and three younger siblings; Matt, Dan and Mary…is majoring in engineering management…First Lieutenant in the NU Corps of Cadets.
