Dylan Curry was named the eighth head coach in the history of the Norwich University men's lacrosse program in July 2025. He takes over a program that flourished under longtime coach Neal Anderson, who stepped down after 17 successful seasons that included three GNAC Championships and multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.
Curry arrives in Northfield following a dynamic run as the defensive coordinator at NCAA Division II Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. During his two-year tenure, the Eagles reached new heights, including a 9-7 record in 2025 that marked the program’s first winning season and Sunshine State Conference (SSC) playoff appearance and win. Curry's defensive units set program records for goals against average while guiding the team to wins over three nationally ranked opponents and producing three All-SSC honorees.
Originally from Wilmette, Ill., Curry brings extensive coaching experience from multiple levels of the game. He previously served on the coaching staffs at Keene State College, Vermont State University Castleton, and Middletown North High School, while also contributing as a club coach with United Lacrosse. In 2023, he led a stout Keene State defense that earned a top-two finish in the Little East Conference and a trip to the league semifinals. His holistic coaching background includes work with goalies, faceoff specialists, recruiting coordination, budget management, and game planning.
As a student-athlete, Curry competed at Monmouth University as part of the Hawks’ inaugural recruiting class. He was a key contributor to the 2017 MAAC Championship team that earned the program's first NCAA Tournament berth. Curry holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Monmouth and an MBA with a concentration in analytics from Vermont State University Castleton, where he began his collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant.
Known for his passion, discipline, and preparation, Curry has established a reputation as a values-driven coach and mentor. He emphasizes defense-first systems, detailed scouting, and student-athlete development both on and off the field. As he takes the reins of the Cadets, Curry aims to uphold Norwich's strong tradition while instilling his own culture of accountability and competitiveness.
