Adam Salisch, now in his fourth year at Norwich, serves as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications, where he continues to be a key contributor to the storytelling and visibility of Cadet Athletics.
Since arriving in Northfield in the fall of 2022, Salisch has become an integral part of the department, known for his recall of statistical data, deep knowledge of Norwich’s athletic history, and steady presence across a wide range of varsity programs.
Salisch is the primary communications contact for 13 sports, overseeing media relations, statistical coverage, content creation, and historical documentation. His strong memory for records and statistics has made him the department’s go-to resource for updating team record books—ensuring that the accomplishments of current student-athletes are preserved and celebrated alongside the rich legacy of those who came before them.
In 2023–24, Salisch took a lead role in organizing Norwich University’s celebration of 50 years of NCAA Division III athletics. As a founding member of Division III, Norwich used the yearlong campaign to honor its competitive spirit and historical milestones. Salisch coordinated a series of retrospective features, memorable game highlights, and multimedia storytelling pieces that connected past and present. His work helped underscore the enduring values of Norwich Athletics and resonated across generations of alumni, athletes, and fans.
An easily recognizable voice on campus, Salisch regularly serves as the public address announcer at multiple home contests, lending energy and polish to the game day experience. In addition, he can often be heard doing the livestream play-by-play for various Cadet teams. His behind-the-scenes work is equally impactful. From crafting detailed recaps to curating engaging social media content, Salisch brings a thoughtful, thorough approach to every assignment.
Eager to capture the full scope of the student-athlete experience, Salisch has made it a priority to find opportunities to travel with teams during key moments of their seasons. He provided on-site coverage for both the men’s and women’s hockey teams during their NCAA tournament appearances, ensuring fans and families could follow every step of their postseason journeys. He was also on hand for the Cadet baseball team’s thrilling conference tournament run, chronicling the excitement and momentum as it unfolded in real time.
Prior to joining Norwich, Salisch gained valuable experience at Saint Peter’s University, where he served as an Athletic Communications Intern during the Peacocks’ unforgettable run to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Elite Eight in 2022. He also worked as the public address announcer, DJ, and official scorer for Saint Peter’s baseball and softball programs. That same year, he earned his Master’s degree in Athletic Administration from Rider University.
Salisch holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from SUNY Plattsburgh, where he developed a passion for college athletics and live broadcasting. As an undergraduate, he was the lead play-by-play and color commentator for the Cardinals’ men’s and women’s ice hockey teams, calling games for Plattsburgh State Television (PSTV) and 93.9 WQKE.
