2011: Appeared in ten games for the Cadets...recorded 49 tackles along with nine tackles-for-loss...also notched two quarterback sacks...one breakup, one pass deflection and one quarterback hit.

2010: Started all 11 games … led the team in tackles (68), tackles-for-loss (13) and sacks (six) ... also recovered two fumbles ... named to the All-ECFC first team defense ... selected to the Division II/III All-New England team. 

2009: Played in 10 contests for the Cadets ... had 29 tackles, 6.5 tackles-for-loss and three sacks ... returned two fumbles and two interceptions for an impressive 63 total yards.

2008: Saw limited action as a freshman ... recorded seven tackles, including three solo stops. 

BEFORE NORWICH: Played four years of varsity football at Seymour High School … team was the 2007 Class “SS” Connecticut state football champion … served as a team captain and was named an all-league performer as a senior ... also was a four-year member of the track and field team … squad captured the 2008 Class “M” Connecticut state track title.

PERSONAL: Son of Joseph and Jody Gumbrewicz … has three siblings … father played football at Southern Connecticut State … was a member of the National Honor Society in high school … majoring in Physical Education.
