Norwich University

Former Norwich football standout student-athlete Sam Chaves joined the coaching staff prior to the 2018 season to manage the team's running backs. The 2019 season will mark his second season on the staff at his alma mater. 

Chaves played four years of college football at Norwich before graduating with a degree in History in 2016. Chaves was named a team captain his senior year and was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team following the season. While at Norwich he was a member of ROTC and the Corps of Cadets. 

Chaves served as the Varsity Volunteer Assistant Coach at York High School in Maine as well as the Volunteer Youth Coach for Massabesic Area Football in Waterboro, Maine before his return to Norwich.
