Ricky Crayton joined the Norwich University football coaching staff in August of 2020 as an assistant coach. He oversees and manages the team’s running backs.
Prior to arriving in Northfield, Crayton spent the 2019 season with Maine Maritime as the team’s running backs coach. There he was responsible for the development and performance of the running backs. Crayton primarily recruited in his home state of Maine while additionally being responsible for recruiting in New Jersey, Vermont, Arizona, and California.
Before landing with the Mariners, Crayton was a volunteer coach at Colby College in 2018 working with the linebackers as a defensive assistant coach. While at Colby, he recruited in North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
Hailing from Winslow, Maine, Crayton graduated from Thomas College in 2018 with a degree in both Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology.
