Carl Mintken begins his 10th season on the football coaching staff at Norwich University in 2016 and enters his fourth season as the team's offensive coordinator. Mintken also works with the offensive line and serves as the program's recruiting coordinator.

Under Mintken's guidance, the NU offensive line has become a point of strength for the team. In 2012, the Cadets offensive line blocked for over 2,300 yards of offense. The unit blocked for 3,000-plus rushing yards in both 2009 and 2010 and featured a top 10-ranked NCAA Division III offensive unit in 2011.

Mintken arrived in Northfield following a one-year stint as running backs coach at Murray State University. Prior to working at Murray State, Mintken spent two years at Springfield College as a graduate assistant coach. While at Springfield, he helped lead the team to the 2006 Empire 8 Conference championship. His offensive line unit also helped the Pride lead the nation in rushing yards per game in 2006.

Mintken got his start in coaching at Maine Maritime, where he served as an intern assistant coach from 2003-05. In addition to working with both the offensive and defensive lines, Mintken assisted in the design and implementation of the strength and conditioning program at Maine Maritime.

Mintken earned a bachelor's degree from Springfield College in 2003 and went on to earn a master's degree from Springfield in 2007. As an offensive tackle for the Pride during a four-year career, he helped lead Springfield to two Freedom Football Conference titles in 2000 and 2002, earning the national rushing titles in both seasons.

Mintken and his wife, Nicole, reside in Northfield with their daughter Carmella and son John.
