Brian Hayes returns to Norwich in 2018 to serve as the team's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the 2018 season.
Prior to his return, Hayes spent two years (2016-2018) at Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi as the team's quarterbacks coach after serving for a year as quarterbacks coach at Norwich in 2015.
Hayes attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi in 2003. After a serious knee injury cut his playing career short, he began his coaching tenure as the team's Student Quarterbacks Coach. After spending the 2005 season as a volunteer quarterbacks coach for Magee High School, Coach Hayes was back at Copiah-Lincoln Community College as the quarterbacks coach.
Under Hayes' tutelage, Copiah-Lincoln's starting quarterback was named the 2006 Mississippi Junior College Player of the Year. The team went on to become the 2006 Golden Isles Sea Bowl Champions and the 2006 Mississippi Junior College State Runner-Ups. During the 2008 season, Coach Hayes was the quarterbacks coach at Assumption College.
Hayes then spent five years (2009-2013) as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Anna Maria College, where the offense produced numerous team and individual records over the years. In 2013, the AMCATS' offense boasted three ECFC All-Conference selections as well as two Senior Class Pre-Season All-American Honorable Mentions.
Hayes graduated with a degree in Physical Education from Mississippi College in 2008.
