Brasean Stewart enters his second season as the cornerbacks coach for the football team in 2024.
Stewart returned to the Norwich sidelines last year after playing defensive back for the Cadets between 2016-19.
Stewart was one of program history's most decorated and successful defensive players. He pulled off the extremely rare feat of being a 4-time All-Conference player while playing in not one but two different conferences during his time in Northfield. As a freshman, the Cadets competed in the ECFC conference and then moved to the NEWMAC after the 2016 season. Stewart's reputation certainly preceded him. During his illustrious career in Maroon and Gold, he accounted for 205 total tackles, 25 passes defended, 9 tackles for loss, recovered 2 fumbles, and 1 interception. Most teams chose to no longer throw to his part of the field. In 2022, Stewart was also named to the 25th anniversary All-NEWMAC team as one of the top players in the history of the NEWMAC conference.Â
After completing his eligibility, Stewart pursued professional football and joined the CIF in 2020. Â
