Athletics: Norwich Athletics opens 2026-27 student work study opportunities

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Norwich University Athletics is now accepting interest from students seeking Federal Work Study positions for the 2026-27 academic year, with opportunities available across multiple areas of the department.

From game-day operations and athletic communications to sports medicine, aquatics, equipment, and strength & conditioning, the available roles offer students a chance to gain hands-on experience while helping support Norwich's varsity athletics programs throughout the year.

Work study opportunities are currently available in the following areas:
  • Athletic Communications - social media, graphic design, photography, videography, livestreaming, writing, statistics, PA announcing, and other event coverage responsibilities
  • Athletic Training - practice and game-day coverage support, hydration station setup, athletic training room assistance, and equipment or supply preparation
  • Certified Lifeguards - lap swim oversight, pool rule enforcement, emergency response, and safety monitoring
  • Equipment Room - laundry operations, uniform preparation, locker setup, inventory support, and gear organization
  • Game Management - scoreboard operation, shot clock operation, sideline crew, setup, and breakdown
  • Strength & Conditioning - equipment maintenance, facility setup, session assistance, and data collection
  • Team Managers - practice and game-day support, team operations assistance, equipment and uniform help, and statistics or video assistance
These positions are designed to give students practical experience in a working athletic department while building communication, leadership, organization, and event management skills.

Norwich Athletics will also be represented at Saturday's New Student Engagement Fair, where students can learn more about the available positions and speak directly with department representatives.
