PLYMOUTH, N.H.- After closing out New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Duals against Plymouth State with an emphatic victory, the Norwich Wrestling team took on the Panthers again Wednesday night. This time within the confines of Foley Gym where the Cadets dominated again.
After
Aiden Morgan (Wellington, Fla.), Ben Fournier (Hebron, Conn.), and
Josh Lister (North Andover, Mass.) swept the three exhibition matches,
Jonathan Neypes (Columbia, Md.) and
Simon Taraska (Willowick, Ohio) opened the main card with a tech fall apiece.
The Panthers took two consecutive victories, bringing their deficit to one, but Norwich would not lose another bout. Consecutive pins for
Mason Sprinkel (Bel Air, Md.) and
Jabari Pinkney (Jessup, Md.) preceded a decision for
Robby Lyons (Milford, Mass.) at 133-pounds.
William Burke (Palmer, Mass.) scored the third pin in the last four matches before
Tyler Russ (Freehold, N.J.) concluded the night with a tech fall.
The Cadets will continue dual meet action this weekend when they travel to Maine Maritime Academy on Feb. 9 at 12 PM.
