NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University men's tennis team enjoyed another non-conference victory over Vermont State University Lyndon, this time taking down the Hornets, 7-2, in a Tuesday afternoon clash in Shapiro Fieldhouse.
The Cadets were virtually unstoppable in doubles action, spurred by No. 1 action from
Terrance Bayly-Henshaw (Scottsville, N.Y.) and
Assumpta Nandawula (Bakersfield, Calif.), with both capturing an 8-2 victory.Â
Matthias Tchantouridze (Montpelier, Vt.) and
Sean Horgan matched that output in No. 2 doubles with an 8-2 final, while
Noah Sham (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) and
Daniel Owusu-Larbi swept No. 3 doubles behind an 8-0 showing.
The Hornets enjoyed a pair of victories in singles action, but the Cadets again rolled as Nandawula took a heated contest over David Gratton in No. 2 singles. Horgan, Sham, and Owusu-Larbi dominantly claimed No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 singles to close the afternoon.
