NORTHFIELD, Vt.- In the middle game of their three game homestand, the Norwich Women's Soccer team was defeated 3-0 by Lasell Wednesday night.
The Laser domination began early, as they generated two shots early with
Kayla Dawson (Brooksville, Fla.) making one of her two saves of the half. Eventually, in the 32
nd minute, Lasell would break through when a pass through the middle found the right foot of Camdyn Lamarre.
Right out of the halftime break the Lasers came out firing, generating two quick corners, the ladder of which tuned into their second goal. Off the kick the ball pinned around the box and ricocheted off the knee of Bobbi O'Guin. They would add a third tally in the 73
rd minute with a ball off the boot of Evelyn DiFiore bending into to top left corner.
"Tonight's game was another hard fought battle," Head Coach
Jared Cipriano said. "We struggled to create chances while the other team was able to capitalize on their opportunities. We had some good moments again, but still looking to put all the pieces together."
The Cadets still seek their first win in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play as they enter their Homecoming weekend contest against Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday night at 7 PM.
