SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -  In their first dual meet since November, the Norwich University Wrestling team was narrowly defeated by American International College 27-19 Saturday evening.

The Cadets got behind early by falling in a 9-0 hole in the first two matches but would respond with wins by Mason Sprinkel (Bel Air, Md.) in a major decision followed by a decision victory for Jabari Pinkney (Jessup, Md.). Other Norwich victors included Joseph Lotruglio (Andover, N.J.) and a victory by fall for Joshua Ducharme (Tyngsboro, Mass.).

"We wrestled tough, but ultimately we didn't open up enough and capitalize on their mistakes," Assistant Coach Connor Keating said.

The Cadets will return to dual action when they travel to Plymouth State Wednesday Feb. 8 at 6 PM. Full results below courtesy of Track Wrestling.
