WELLESLEY, Mass - Senior Ana Lopez (Laredo, Texas) matched a career high in kills with 11 as Norwich dropped their first match of the young season to Wellesley College on Wednesday evening 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-19).

Also prominent for the Cadets was senior Sarah Farnum (North Andover, Mass.) who tallied an ace, and a block along with leading the team in assists (20) and second in digs (8) only behind her sister, junior Laura Farnum (North Andover, Mass.), who led the team with 15.

Junior Kate Salembier led the way for Wellesley by leading the Blue in kills (14) while also tallying two aces to go along with eight digs. She was aided by Freshman Kaija Kunze-Hoeg (17 digs, 7 assists), and Mikayla Tansil (29 assists, 2 aces).

The Cadets will look to bounce back on Saturday with a doubleheader in Northfield with matches against MCLA (11 a.m.) and Wentworth (3 p.m.).
