CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Norwich volleyball team suffered a pair of losses in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match on Saturday, falling to Elms and Saint Joseph's (Me.), 3-1, in both outings.
The Cadets nearly rallied for the victory over the hosts Blazers, coming within striking distance in all four sets but falling just short in the 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 23-25, 25-22) loss.Â
Ana Lopez (Laredo, Texas) led the way with 13 kills, while sisters
Laura Farnum (North Andover, Mass.) and
Sarah Farnum (North Andover, Mass.) tallied 18 and 15 digs, respectively, with Sarah also logging 31 assists.
Norwich was not nearly as fortunate against the Monks, but still remained competitive in another 3-1 (25-14, 24-26, 25-16, 25-20) decision. Lopez and the Farnum sisters were again the leaders, with Lopez finishing with nine kills.Â
Sarah Farnum set a game-high 25 assists, while
