STANDISH, Maine - The Norwich women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 tilt in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match to Saint Joseph's College at the SJC Athletics Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The Monks got on the board early and never looked back, with Leila Weir drilled one in at the 28:10 mark before Aaliyah Wilson-Falcone scored her first of two goals just 28 seconds later.
Wilson-Falcone would extend the Monks' lead mere minutes into the second stanza, while Eliese Perron added a late insurance goal in the 83rd minute.
Abby Bruce (Peru, N.Y.) tallied three shots on goal, while
Destiny Sanchez (Odessa, Fla.),
Bella Roy (Weare, N.H.), and
Abigail Stewart (Edinburg, Va.) logged one apiece.Â
Rebecca Karis (Fayetteville, N.C.) hauled in 14 saves in goal against a Monks offense that recorded 34 total shots.
The Cadets will return to GNAC action on Wednesday afternoon, hitting the road for a 4:00 p.m. duel at Lasell University in Newton, Mass.
