Senior catcher Connor McGee (Wakefield, R.I.) then hit a sacrifice fly to left field for the 5-2 advantage.
Laser plated three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to knot the game 5-5, where it would remain until the top of the 10th inning.
Freshman second baseman Brock Carpenter (East Berlin, Penn.) came up with another clutch knock, this time a two-run triple to right-center for a 7-5 lead. Oropeza plated Carpenter with a single later in the inning for the 8-5 edge.
Sophomore Nick Beavin (Montpelier, Vt.) nabbed his second win of the season, throwing four innings in relief. He allowed just two hits and two walks while fanning four batters. Freshman Ben Emero (Medway, Mass.) picked up his first career save, tossing one third of an inning in the win.
