BIDDEFORD, Maine- The Norwich University Women's Rugby team fell in the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) playoffs 75-27 to the University of New England Saturday afternoon.

The Nor'easters got going early and often jumping out to a 7-0 lead four and a half minutes into the match with a try from senior Mackenzie Burke (Alton, N.H.) and conversion by Salma Bezzat (Malden, Mass.) the first of ten conversions.

The Cadets would get the score to 14-10 with tries by Assumpta Nandawula (Montpelier, Vt.) and Carlyan Vigbedor (Centreville, Va.) but the Nor'easters would pull away shortly after. Caitlin Burke (Greenwich, Conn), Kate Desautels (Rutland, Mass), and Emily Ngo (Turlock, Calif.) also recorded tries.

The Women's Rugby team concludes their season with a 3-3 record.
