RUTLAND, Vt. - The Norwich University women's ice hockey team defeated Castleton University 6-0 on Friday night at Spartan Arena.

Junior forward Ann-Frederique Guay (St. Lambert-de-Lauzon, Quebec) tallied five points, including her second career hat trick to lead the Cadets' offense. Junior forward Mikah Baptiste (Ottawa, Ontario) tallied four assists, while Ingrid Holstad-Berge (Stavanger, Norway) had two goals and an assist for three points. 

Junior Aimee Headland (Nottingham, United Kingdom) scored Norwich's other goal as the Cadets swept the season series. 

Norwich (11-4-0, 9-1-0 NEHC) raced out to a 4-0 lead after 13 minutes and then added another goal in the second and third period each. 

Senior goalie Alexa Berg (West Fargo, N.D.) made 17 saves to pick up her second straight shutout and the 11th of her career. 

Norwich will take on Plymouth State at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Hanaway Rink in New Hampshire.
