BIDDEFORD, Maine - The Norwich University women's rugby team saw its 2021 fall 15s season come to a close with a 32-5 loss to Univ. of New England on Saturday afternoon.

Norwich's Audriauna Greeno (Putnam, Conn.) scored the Cadets' lone try of the game in the 60th minute of the game to briefly cut the deficit to 20-5. However, UNE rattled off the next 12 points to sweep the season series 3-0 from the Cadets.

UNE built up a 15-0 halftime lead with tries from Fiona Thomas, Salma Bezzat and Emily Ramsey. 

Norwich was led defensively by 16 tackles from Jacqueline Federico (Humble, Texas). Anita DiMento (Carbondale, Colo.) added 11 tackles as well. 

Norwich concluded the season with a 2-4 overall record. UNE advances to the NIRA Division III Championship to take on Bowdoin in the finals.
