NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Norwich University women's soccer team fell for the second straight game on a late goal in the final 10 minutes of regulation in a 1-0 loss to Albertus Magnus on Friday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

Norwich (3-10, 2-10 GNAC) played incredible defense for the second game in a row, holding its opponent off the board for 80-plus minutes. However, Albertus Magnus' Haley Andrews found the back of the net in the 84th minute to spoil Norwich's upset bid.

Senior goalkeeper Kim Watt (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) made 10 saves in goal for the Cadets. Celine Juneau (Chazy, N.Y.) and Sarah Rucci (West Boylston, Mass.) each had a shot on goal for the Cadets. 

Norwich will close out the 2021 season on Wednesday when it hosts Anna Maria at 7 p.m. on Sabine Field at Haynes Family Stadium. Prior to the game, Norwich will honor its seniors with its annual Senior Night game.
