SALEM, Mass. - Senior forward Amanda Conway (Methuen, Mass.) tallied four points to lead the Norwich University women's ice hockey team to a 7-1 victory over Salem State on Friday night in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action.

Conway scored two goals and had two assists to bring her remarkable career goal total to 102 goals in 101 games played. She moved into sole possession of sixth place on the NCAA Division III all-time scoring list, moving past Manhattanville's Cherie Stewart. Conway now sits one goal behind Holy Cross' Stacey Hochkins and Lake Forest's Michelle Greeneway, who are tied for fourth with 103 all-time goals.

Conway also moved to within one point of tying head coach Sophie Leclerc '10 for second on the all-time NU points list with 162 points to Leclerc's 163. 

Salem State took a 1-0 lead in the first period, but Norwich scored seven unanswered goals, started by Conway's 17th goal of the season at the 14:18 mark of the first period to tie the game at 1-1.

The Cadets picked up their fourth straight win to improve to 14-4-1 on the season and 11-0-0 in NEHC play. Norwich extended its NEHC unbeaten streak to 45 straight games with the win.

Ingrid Holstad-Berge (Stavanger, Norway), Carley Sedlar (Howell, Mich.), Kayla Goleniak (Canton, Mich.), Julia Masotta (Tewksbury, Mass.) and Sophie McGovern (Hermantown, Minn.) each added goals for the Cadets in the victory. 

Masotta continued her hot streak with a goal and two assists for a three-point night. Goleniak and McGovern each had a goal and an assist as well.  

Norwich outshot Salem State 37-17 in the game. Sophomore goalie Kate Winstanley (Lansdale, Pa.) made 16 saves to improve to 5-0-0 on the season.

The Cadets will travel to Johnson & Wales for a 3:55 p.m. start to wrap up its seven-game road trip.
