HENNIKER, N.H. - The Norwich University wrestling team defeated the Pilgrims of New England College on Sunday afternoon, besting NEC in a back and forth battle by a 28-24 final score. 

The Cadets got into a hole early, as NEC earned points in the first three matches to take an 18-0 lead early on.Norwich rallied quickly tough, as Ben Forsman (Voorhees, N.J.) got the Cadets on the board with a 10-8 victory over Denver Dorsainvil. Brendan DesFosses (Stamford, Conn.) kept the momentum rolling with a 12-4 major decision victory over Mannash Carlson to make it 18-7 NEC, and John Schultz (Cedar Grove, N.Y.) followed him with a 7-6 victory over Zyreek Roscoe.

Satchel Stauffer pinned Caelin Worthington to make it 24-22 NEC headed into the final heavyweight matchup of the day, where Frank Girolamo (Stoughton, Mass.) came up with the incredibly clutch pin over Jahkem Collins-Martinez to take the match for Norwich by the 28-24 final score. 

The win improves the Cadets to 4-9 on the year in duals and gives Norwich a nice wave of momentum heading into the highly anticipated Green Mountain Championship against Castleton University this Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.
