Women's Soccer: Sharks stymie Cadets, 4-0

Box Score

BOSTON - The Norwich University women's soccer team fell 4-0 to Simmons College on Saturday morning in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

Freshman goalkeeper Kim Watt (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) picked up her fourth straight double-digit save perfomance, stopping 12 shots for the Cadets in goal, but it wasn't enough to keep Simmons' offense at bay.

Norwich (6-6-1, 3-6-1 GNAC) was outshot 20-7 in the game. Sophomore Sydney Rocheville (Salem, Mass.) and senior Danielle Johnson (Groton, Mass.) registered the Cadets' two shots on goal in the game.

Norwich will have a busy final week to the regular season with three games in five days starting with a road trip to Northern Vermont University at Lyndon on Monday at 3 p.m. The Cadets will then close the regular season with three straight home games vs. Lasell on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Suffolk on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The Cadets currently trail eighth-place University of St. Joseph (Conn.) by three points with two league games left.
